space calligraphy lettering crafts

Our mission

CalligrAbility is a creative space for Calligraphy, Lettering and Crafts enthusiasts of all abilities. It is a space to enjoy, learn and quest our passion for beautiful writing.

Our interest includes Typography, Lettering, Calligraphy and Handwriting. We embrace their differences, celebrate their variations and take advantage of their best features.

Together we will have the opportunity to develop our skills, ignite our creativity and be introduced to the life work of prodigious fellow calligraphers and masters.

Finally, we intend to grow together and become better people, calligraphers and crafters.

About me

With a degree in Graphic Design from the University of La Plata, Argentina, I worked in print production and logo design until I moved to the UK in 1999.

I have always had a special interest in Typography and Calligraphy, and gradually the latter took over. Since 2016, I focused my career on teaching and producing calligraphy work. I co-founded Love Calligraphy where I worked until April 2020. During my time there, I worked with Kirsten Burke on special events through the North West for Jo Malone, Clinique, Molton Brown and La Mer. Additionally, I have collaborated with Simple Lettering Magazine in two articles about Traditional Copperplate.

Now, I work independently from home to better fit my work around my family life. My efforts are fully behind the CalligrAbility initiative.

I am a member of NWCASSISLLA and CLAS. Since February 2020, I have been collaborating with Joy Daniels on the edition of the Copperplate Special Interest Group‘s newsletter for CLAS.

I love travelling and attending calligraphy classes around the country. Meeting fellow calligraphers and great masters keep my motivation high and enrich my work.
